Websites That Get Clients was set up in early 2008 by Mary McNeil when she realised just how many of her fellow coaches were approaching her with a desperate look in their eye, asking for down to earth website advice. For the first 18 months she offered information and advice via her regular newsletter, her two e-books and one-to-one website critique and coaching sessions.

Then Mary had another realisation! The coaches with that desperate look in their eye wanted more than just information... they wanted someone they could trust to advise AND do the design, copywriting and shopping cart work for them. So she teamed up with Jane Hay and we're delighted to be able to offer you information, advice and hands-on support from now on...

If you read my Twitter bio, it will tell you that I'm at my best when decluttering, singing, or standing on airport tarmac sniffing the air. But not all at once.

Work-wise, I enjoyed a first career in the package holiday industry as a senior manager for Thomson Holidays. After 15 happy years I left the world of travel (although not my love of airports) and retrained as a coach and website designer.

My coach training was with CoachU and I followed up with an ICF credential, as well as my NLP Master Prac training with Robert Dilts. I don't have time to coach much these days, but when I do my niche is with creative clients.

The last few years have been spent educating myself in the mysteries of online marketing. I had a wonderful year being mentored by Bernadette Doyle in 2008 which left me brimming with very practical knowledge, ideas and confidence. Now I'm really excited to have the opportunity to pass as much of that on as I can.

Jane Hay

From my home office in a Bedfordshire village I have wonderful views across the countryside, as well as a chinchilla and two dogs to keep me company. Out of office hours, you're most likely to find me performing in local musical shows.

My design roots go back a long way... after a wild and wacky period studying fashion and textile design at Art College in the 70's, I worked as a graphic artist and designer for 10 years. That was in the old cut and paste, pre computer days.

Then I moved on to work in the travel industry, which is where I met Mary. We worked together as flight planners for a fantastic decade before both accepting voluntary redundancy. At that stage I retrained as a VA and a website designer.

Since 2002 I have been working with a wonderful portfolio of clients, developing my own knowledge and skills along the way. And now I'm really looking forward to using all that knowledge to create even more websites that get clients.
